Our Committees and Initiatives

Our members are passionate about supporting many aspects of sports pharmacy from providing quality education, creating tools and opportunities for research, growing a meaningful network amongst our members, and establishing international involvement.

Current Taskforces

  • The USSPG is collaborating with Drug Free Sport International to provide FREE education on safe medication and dietary supplements to middle school and high school students who may be active in sports and aspiring to play more formal competitive sports throughout their career.

  • This taskforce is dedicated to formally defining what is sports pharmacy and providing insight and guidance into the role and responsibilities of sports pharmacists in the United States.

    This initiative is crucial in establishing a standardized understanding and recognizing sports pharmacy as a vital specialty.

A vital committee dedicated to promoting the sustainability and growth of the organization through fundraising.

Membership

A committee dedicated to recruiting passionate students, pharmacists, and researchers, and others who share our mission into the organization, promoting and supporting the membership by creating member resources, hosting networking events, and initiatives to highlight the unique and exciting work of our members.

Scholarship and Research

A committee focused on supporting research collaboration, compiling scholarship to date related to sports pharmacy, and highlighting the scholarship-related accomplishments of the members.

Education

A committee geared towards providing education to members and the community surrounding important sports pharmacy related topics.

Communication

A committee responsible for sharing the mission and current initiatives of the USSPG with members and the community.

International Affairs

A committee that represents the international members of the USSPG and supports the USSPG’s initiatives through international collaboration.
